9 “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”

The Soul’s Enjoyment

No version of artificial intelligence will ever be able to do what God created us for-to know the complete joy God has in Himself. Jesus came to provide for us His great salvation(Hebrews 2:3) and so we can know His joy here and now(John 15:11).

Our human uniqueness also brings with it suffering and is multiplied as a follower of Christ. The Bible teaches us in many places:

“Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.” (Acts 14:22)

• “All who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” (2 Timothy 3:12)

  “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” (Matthew 16:24)

  We are “fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.” (Romans 8:17)

 Our enjoying God in suffering is not just enduring it, but knowing His joy in the middle of it.

We rejoice in suffering..(Romans 5:3,4)

Overflow with joy in suffering (2 Corinthians 7:4)

Count it all joy, (James 1,2)

Rejoice in dishonor.(Acts 5:41)

Emotionless faith is not Biblical faith. If you are one who fights it, stop where you are and ask God if He wants you not to feel His joy.

Ask God to get you to the place where you must feel His joy.

If you cannot feel His joy because of your own place in life, tell God you want Him to come first and that you are sorry for letting all else get in the way.

...because He loves you, He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come and Your will be done in my life as it is in Heaven. Give me what You want for me today. Forgive me for being overcome by worries. Lead me away from wickedness.
