Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day:     Psalm 62:1

Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.

The Real Love


I like listening to live music as well as performing. Some folks just don't understand why and that's o.k. I love seeing musicians on stage who love what they do and have a great time doing it.


Solomon said that this is our lot in life-to enjoy our work. This is from God's hand.

Ecclesiastes 2:24-Nothing is better for man than to eat and drink and enjoy his work. I have also seen that this is from the hand of God. ('No thing' is better in this life than that which comes from God's hand.)


C.S. Lewis wrote back in the 50's that the 'wireless'(to him a radio, today, handheld technologies) makes sure we are really alone. We have lost touch with meditation and individual thought. We just do not sit and think.

The need for others is crowded out by all the noise. Human contact is at a minimum.

The real love of God would have us laying our lives on the line.

John 15:13 King James Version (KJV)

13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.


We have missed the mark. That is the definition of sin-missing the mark or the point-


The point is this: Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’Matthew 22:37-40


I don't care where you have been nor what you have done. If you are in Christ, nothing can keep you from loving who you are, loving what you do, and loving your friends and family-except choice.


Free will-selfish, hard-headed and hard hearted free will is full of misery.


Jesus is still the cure.


Love God.


Love what you do.


Love your friends.


It is never too late.


Real love-we love because He loved us first. I John 4


...Because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Forgive me for choosing to be alone and for not thinking. Show me how to live quietly so I can hear You. Show me how to long to be with people and lay down my life for them.

God of peace and love.
