  Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day:   Hebrews 7:25

Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

Memory verse: Psalm 90:14

14 Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love,

that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

Today's reading: 1 KINGS 3-5 LUKE 20:1-26

The Purpose

The purpose of Christ  after our salvation is to give us a rich and satisfying life in His kingdom. In John 10:10, Jesus said,  "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

Then, God gives us such great blessings in His word:

We love because God loved us first. 1 John 4:19

There is no fear in Love. Perfect love drives out fear.

This is how love is made complete among us...

This is how we know...

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.

The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

This is how we recognize the Spirit of Truth.

Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God.

(All the above are from 1 John 4.)

Life is full of uncertainty but our God is absolute certainty-absolute. 1 John 4 has enough in it to be read everyday-by all of us. But, then, God's entire word is meant to nourish us and keep us full. So go read it--over and over until you grasp God's security for you in it.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

My faith is weak because I do not spend enough time with You. Pull me in with great desire, oh God.

Mighty God of all certainty,

In the name of our Lord Jesus,

Amen
