Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name Yah, And rejoice before Him. A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, Is God in His holy habitation.

The Purpose

The purpose of Christ is to give us a rich and satisfying life. John 10:10

We love because God loved us first. 1 John 4:19

There is no fear in Love.

Perfect love drives out fear.

This is how love is made complete among us...

This is how we know...

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.(1 John 4:7)

The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.(1 John 4:4)

This is how we recognize the Spirit of Truth.

Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God.(1 John 4:2)

Life is full of uncertainty and sometimes it is just hard to get the world to stop whirling around us. 1 John 4 has enough in it to be read everyday-by all of us. So go read it--over and over until you feel your security in Christ in it.

Father in Heaven,

Forgive me for not being still long enough to hear. Give me the understanding to lay hold of Your wisdom for this day for me as I do your work. Help me as I read Your word to absorb it and hear You as You speak through it to me.

Father of all mercy,
