Good morning, Lord
Father in Heaven, open my heart and mind, Holy Spirit. Fill my consciousness and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…
Memory verse: 1 John 1:8–9
8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the
truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.
Verse of the day—Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Today’s reading: Psalm 129-131 1 Corinthians 11:1-16
Information is Power?
We have heard it for decades-information is power. Now with AI, we have the knowledge of the world at our fingertips-literally. You can now ‘google’ anything and get days of reading on that subject if you so choose.
Knowing what to do with the information is the real power. So the wisdom of the world is not the information itself but knowing how to act upon that information. The enemy spends his existence convincing mankind that he has all the right moves and it still comes down to this:
Proverbs 14:12- “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.”
In Christ Jesus, our information does not come from the world. Of course we need to be informed of world happenings and how to exist etc. But we cannot allow our minds to captivated by the ‘cosmos of information’.
Practically, how do we in Christ keep our focus on Christ? We must allow God to train our focus by practicing consciousness of the Holy Spirit.
Yes, we have said this many times because this is our service to our Lord-to be living sacrifices.
Romans 12:1 “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. “
The only ‘ai’ we must be grasping for is the ‘ai’ in ‘remain’.
John 15:4- “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.”
Tell God now that you want the desire to be consumed by His Spirit and that you are tired of being captivated so easily by the information of the world.
...because He loves you, He will do it…
Father in Heaven,
Your glory is real-all else is sin. Your kingdom is the reality I want to know. Give me the will today to stay focused on You. Forgive me for searching the world. Lead me away from this evil.
Father of real wisdom,
In the name of Christ Jesus,
Amen
