Good morning, Lord
Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…
Memory verse: Psalm 27:13-14 (NIV)
“I remain confident of this, I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
Verse of the day: Psalm 25:14-15
14 “The secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him,And He will make them know His covenant.15 My eyes are continually toward the Lord,For He will rescue my feet from the net.”
Today’s reading: Isaiah 50-52 1 Thessalonians 5
The Last Command
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”
Jesus said because of His all-encompassing authority to go and make disciples-yes making sure they have accepted the gospel but teaching them all things He has commanded(verse 20) knowing He will empower us all with all we need.
Before you walk away from someone the next time, think about the pain a lost soul must be in. Lost in darkness and not knowing the freedom of real light and life in Christ.
Jesus has put us under His umbrella of all authority. So no matter what your subconscious conditioning says, or what the objections of this carnal world might be, Jesus has authority over it all-and then in His power-after you have ‘prayed to God’(Nehemiah 2:4)-speak with His authority in all His love in His Spirit of Truth and trust Him for the results.
But that is just the beginning. If and when you do introduce someone to The Lord Jesus, lead them into learning about what Jesus taught. Point them to good teachers and a disciplined life and pray for them daily. Yes, you can-you have all the authority of Jesus within you-the Spirit of truth within you. You can trust Him with it all. Tell God you want this.
...because He loves you, He will do it.
Father in Heaven,
All authority is Yours in Heaven and earth and in Your kingdom. Lead me to joyful obedience and give me today what You know I need. Forgive me for my fear. Lead me away from evil.
Authority of Heaven and earth,
In the name of Christ Jesus,
Amen
