Good morning, Lord
Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…
Memory verse: Joshua 1:9
9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Verse of the day- 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
16 “Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
Today’s reading: 2 Kings 1-3 Luke 24:1-35
The Goal Of Your Heart
The goal of every Heart that belongs to Jesus should be to know God as fully and truly as one can and I believe this is done by knowledge of the word. I did not say knowledge of every writer in the Christian realm but the ‘Word of God’.
1 Samuel 3:21 (ESV)
21 “And the Lord appeared again at Shiloh, for the Lord revealed himself to Samuel at Shiloh by the word of the Lord.”
Living in the word of God is possible while we walk this earth as much as the enemy tries to convince us otherwise.
Living in the word means we are cultivating ‘God consciousness’.
God has given us each a divine capability to know Him. His Holy Spirit is our Divine counselor. This means that even though we all worship our same God in Christ, each one of us will see God through the lens God has given each of us.
So-please do not worry that you don’t see God the way others do as long as you are seeking God as much as you are able. This takes us right back to Matthew 6:33
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Pray that your desire to know God as well as you can matches that of Paul when he wrote:
“I want to know Him-the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering.”(Philippians 3:10)
….and don’t worry about someone you think may be more spiritual than you-that never crosses the mind of God. He simply but eternally wants you to love Him with all you are.
Remember: Jesus is the Living Word
John1: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Ask God to make knowing and loving Him the goal of your heart.
...because He loves us...He will do it…
Father in Heaven,
The greatness and righteousness of Your name be hallowed. Increase my desire to learn as much as I can of Your kingdom and the power of Christ’s resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering. Complete Your joy in me. Forgive me for slack consciousness. Lead me away from a slothful mindset.
God of all divine wisdom,
In the name of Christ Jesus,
Amen

My God, the One True and Living God, how greatly and tenderly you've cared for me in the valleys. You have opened doors for me no man can shut. You've healed so much that I know was meant to end me. The broken heart that You've ministered to is beating because of you. Abandonment, betrayal, injury, and loss placed my crushed spirit in Your capable hands. In the middle of a head injury, stroke and neurological injury, you restored my mind with the washing of the water of Your Word. You let me walk, talk, read, write and dance again. The misdiagnoses and humiliation led to a path of healing only You could forge. Thank you for the gifted ones…
