Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Ephesians 2:6 “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.”

Verse of the day: Romans 15:5-6

The Break-Through

If you search for a list of the names that are used to describe God, you will find many such lists. When I read 1 Chronicles 14:11, I read that David called the place where he defeated the Philistines:

'Baal Perazim'...This means 'the God who breaks through'.

This name is not on any of the lists I could find but I think this name is just as important as the others.

This life is a life of hardship and struggle as well as peace and victory.

If you have been set free from sin in Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit has 'broken through' your human reservation and reluctance. He has broken through the 'dividing wall of hostility', Ephesians 2:14-18, and defeated the enemy's power over your life.

He is our God who breaks through the barrier of sin we surround ourselves with when we walk away from Him so we have the will to return and repent. Our God breaks chains of bondage.

Our God breaks through hearts of stone.

Ezekiel 36:26 ►I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

This is a most precious truth. For those of us who have someone we love who is running from God-someone for whom we have prayed for years-we must know that our God is the 'God who breaks through' and trust Him to break through and make the runner stop and see God. After all, God is the God who sees 'me'.

El Roi: "The God who sees me" - used by Hagar in Genesis 16.

Don't just pray for a 'break-through'-pray to our God who breaks through all barriers to defeat unrighteousness and frees souls for eternity.

Pray for your own break though to get closer to God than ever before...

...because He loves us… He will do it...

Father in Heaven,

Your name -’the God who breaks through’-‘the God who sees me’-Your name be praised. Let me see...forgive me for my blindness. Lead me away from my ignorant choices.

Great God of perfect vision and provision,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
