Super Natural

‎Tuesday, ‎April ‎5, ‎2022

Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day: Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Memory of the Month: 2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Today's reading: RUTH 1-4 LUKE 8:1-25

Super-Natural

I tied my spotted mare up behing Square Holt's Mobil station and went in to get a drink. We talked for a little while and when I came out my horse was gone. A piece of the thin-leather, rein was dangling on the pipe where I had tied her-but she was gone. The air compressor for the station had released pressure to vent the moisture-that is really loud-from the pipe the horse had been tied to. It was so loud and 'un-natural' and horses are nervous anyway so she went off like a shot. I found her and got her home but the point is, when the un-natural happened she was gone. From then on, I was very careful to tie her up in 'natural' surroundings.

Jesus took Peter, James, and John up a mountain and there Jesus was 'transfigured'-he started to glow with a super-natural radiance. Elijah and Moses appeared and were talking with Jesus. This was a super-natural-(divinely above natural) happening reminiscent of the old testament meetings of Moses and God on the mountain. It was the holiest of times.

So, of course, Peter had to open his mouth and let off the nervous, fearful, pressure. He did not know what to say but felt he had to say something.(read in Mark 9:1-7)

God spoke from a cloud and it was all over. “This is my beloved Son; listen to him.”

In times of worship, corporate or personal, it is hard to keep the natural out-the natural voice or traditions of mankind-but this is what we must strive for-we cannot make God move or speak. We cannot add one thing to God's glory. We can only come before Him with humble hearts.

Micah 6:8 ►He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

So, in corporate worship, we must always think of God and not about how good a show we put on. In personal worship, we sometimes need to just sit and listen.

Psalm 95:1 O come, let us sing for joy to the LORD, Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. 2Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. 3For the LORD is a great God And a great King above all gods,…

When God is in the praises of His people, it is all about Him-not us. We must leave natural consciousness and be God-conscious(super-natural-conscious).

We cannot build something for God-He builds through us.

1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

In God's presence, He does not want us to feel pressure-just release and peace and freedom.

...because He loves us...

Our Father In Heaven,

Forgive me for trying to say the right thing before You give me the words but empower me to be still and know You are God and praise from a pure heart.

Glorious and merciful Father!

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
