Therefore thus says the Lord: “If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me. If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless, you shall be as my mouth. They shall turn to you, but you shall not turn to them.”

Verse of the day: Revelation 21:2-4

2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

Spirit Life

In John 6:66-68, Jesus had taught some things that were so hard to take that many of His followers walked away from Him. So, He looked at His remaining disciples and said,

“Do you want to go away as well?” To which Peter responded, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life”

The words of Jesus hold eternal life.

“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is of no avail. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life” (John 6:63).

“This is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life” (John 6:40)

Salvation through faith does not comes from anything we do on this earth. We must understand this. We cannot ‘do’ our way into God’s graces-into having God’s salvation. We cannot follow the form of an established denomination. Our obedience to a church or an earthly church leader gets us nothing ‘spiritual’-only physical.

Faith is a gift(Ephesians 2:8&9) that comes through the Living Word of Jesus-The Holy Spirit.

Romans 10:17-”So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

The message for us today is that salvation is only the beginning. From the moment of rebirth, our minds are new. Our understanding is now open in the Mind of Christ.

We must see the lost emptiness of the followers of Christ as they walked away from Jesus in John 6:66-we must. We must say in power of the Holy Spirit, as Peter said, “Where else can we go-You(Jesus) have the words of life”.

When we turn to the world and turn our minds off to Christ, we are like those followers who just could not take the hard teachings-empty and aimless.

We must hear Jesus say that His life is Spirit life and walk in His Spirit. We must hear the voice of Jesus through Paul:

“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16)

The greatest people-the richest-the most wise-the most powerful-can do nothing in the Kingdom of God without hearing Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.

But we, in Jesus can. So do what it takes for you to hear. Dump your worldly cares-go ahead-dump them out-cling to the voice of Christ in Your heart. Enjoy the power of the Holy Spirit you are held in-enjoy it-swim in it-fly in it-whatever the Spirit lets you feel.

Just don’t walk away from Jesus-even for a thought. If and when you do-jump back-confess and get back.

Hear Jesus say, “ “If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me.” (Jeremiah 15:19)

...because He loves us...He will do it

Father in Heaven,

God of greatest Glory and eternal Kingdom, I return this morning before You. Forgive me for hearing the fleshly call. Lead me away from desire for the world.

God of eternal life,
