Good morning, Lord
Verse of the Day: And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.—Acts 2:42
Memory verse: Philippians 4:8 ►Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Speak The Truth
Truth is a hard thing to come these days, it seems.
"It is easier for some to tell a lie than the simple truth." Is this really true?
Maybe it is, but, think about. Some will lie about something to hide their ignorance so they can appear to know. Others lie to protect themselves. Some leaders lie to 'protect' the 'good' of their groups.
Lies are not of faith so they are sin. That's pretty plain. But even back in King David's day, he knew what was happening,
Psalm 36:1 An oracle is in my heart regarding the transgression of the wicked man: There is no fear of God before his eyes. 2For his eyes are too full of conceit to detect or hate his own sin.
Sin is darkness.
1 John 1:5 ►This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
Two opposites
>People who are so full of sin, darkness, they cannot see and think they are great.
>God, in whom is no darkness at all.
We let the first little one slide. The veil of sin starts to darken our view. Our eyes get used to the dimmer light-and so on until we become blind to our own sin.
Really? That is what that verse of scripture says...
So what do we do?
WE TELL THE TRUTH...
OR
ADMIT WE DO NOT KNOW(if that is the truth)
OR
SAY, FIRMLY, I WILL NOT TALK ABOUT THAT(which is a solid truth).
The good truth is that God wants us to live in truth and walk in His light-not to keep sticking our toes in the darkness to see how it feels-dabbling is dangerous.
So, relax, and just tell the truth. A lot of what people lie about is none of their business, anyway. If it is none of your business, stay in the light and in humility under God's hand.(1 Peter 5:6&7)
We are here to seek God's kingdom-to know Jesus and make Him known-to bring God good pleasure and glory-'to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God', (Micah 6:8)
Ephesians 4:14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed about by the waves and carried around by every wind of teaching and by the clever cunning of men in their deceitful scheming. 15Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ Himself, who is the head.
Speak the truth.
...because He loves us...
Father in Heaven,
Give me the desire for Your absolute truth in love, always, and forgive me my lies that I may see with Your pure light.
Merciful God! Have mercy on us!
