Seriously?

Good Morning, Lord

Verse of the Day: Do not quench the Spirit.—1 Thessalonians 5:19

Memory of the month: Isaiah 41:13 For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”

Today's reading: LEVITICUS 1-3 MATTHEW 24:1-28



Seriously?



Seriously? Do you think of God as your Father in Heaven? Do You?



Do you hallow His name? Do we dig and find out what is meant by 'His name'? Ephesians 3:14-19- For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.



Paul prayed for us to 'have the power',(all of us), to grasp the love of Christ.



Paul prayed that 'out of His glorious riches' that Jesus would empower us in our inner being through the Holy Spirit that Christ Jesus would dwell in our hearts through faith.



Seriously? How seriously do we take all this? How much do we know of His glorious riches? What is all that?



His glorious riches cannot be explained to any one individual by any other individual. This is all by personal experience. So how do we have this personal experience?



Personally experiencing His glorious riches should be one, long, on-going life of experience. However, we let sin interrupt our discovery of God's revelation of all this in our lives.



Be encouraged. God knows us and our hearts and our sin. The life of a true disciple is one that gets up quickly after a fall. A true disciple knows that God is ready to forgive and get on with the life He has set out before us.



The question is, "How serious are we about being a true disciple?" No body else knows what is going on in your mind except the Holy Spirit-no one else is listening-no one else can see the screen in your mind but God Himself. No one else can see into the back rooms of your heart where you try to hide things-except God Himself.



He knows all about you and still stays right there. He will never walk away in disgust. His love endures all things and forever. You cannot be bad enough to drive Him away. His love for you is complete and will never stop-never fail-never get tired-never get old.



God is serious about you-He is all in forever-into you completely.



Your sin He hates, but you He loves.



His plans for you are to prosper you for His kingdom. Psalm 23 tells us He leads us in the path of righteousness for 'His' namesake. His name-sake. There is 'His name' again.



Our discovering His riches in the power of the Holy Spirit is for His purposes. His purpose is the redemption of mankind-the driving force is His perfect unending love for us all.



Seriously-how serious are you about this life God has waiting for you to discover-step by step-from glory to glory-from failure to victory?



Well then, time to get serious about God's name, is it not?



...because He loves us...



Father in Heaven,


My resolve is weak. I have let the world separate me from the reality of all You are. Forgive me; Teach me; build a fire in my heart for Your riches of Your name.
