Good morning, Lord
Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…
Memory verse: Joshua 1:9
9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Verse of the day- Romans 14:11
11 for it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”
Today’s reading: 2 Samuel 16-18 Luke 17:20-37
Restoration
In Psalm 23, it says, “He restores my soul.” This tells us that we will have times to recover from-times when we are forced to admit we must return to Him. Bad stuff-hard times-but we always have what we need to be restored-not anything from the world-but from His invisible kingdom-inside us-inside the body of Christ(Luke 17:21). This tells us we need each other-to pray together and worship together.
Times get hard and painful. In the garden, Jesus said, “I am sick to death.” Jesus shows us that we must admit our feelings and keep going. He stayed where He was and finished what He started-just as He taught.
Don’t try to squirm out from under a ‘rock’ by your own power. Know that God has given you all you need-His kingdom in Your heart with all that He provides-to get to to the end of this hard time.
Trust and He will see You finish and restored. Admit to God Your pain-pour it out in front of Him. 1 Peter 5:6&7 says:
6 “So be humble under God’s powerful hand. Then he will lift you up when the right time comes. 7 Give all your worries to him, because He cares for you.”
...because He loves us, He will do it…
Father in Heaven,
Hallowed be your name. I want to get deeper in Your kingdom. Give me understanding for today. Forgive me for looking into the world for solutions. Lead me away from doubt.
Restoring God and gentle Father,
In the name of Christ Jesus,
Amen
