Good Morning, Lord

Verse of the Day:  For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart—these, O God, You will not despise.—Psalm 51:16-17

Memory of the month:  Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be  satisfied.

Today's reading:  ESTHER 9-10 ACTS 7:1-21

Released-Acquitted

Our verse of the day:

For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart—these, O God, You will not despise.—Psalm 51:16-17

We add to that verse: 19And by this we will know that we belong to the truth, and will assure our hearts in His presence: 20If our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts, and He knows all things. 21Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God,…1 John 3:20

Deuteronomy 16:11 ►

And rejoice before the LORD your God at the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name

1 Corinthians 6:19 ►

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

John 15:11 ►I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

Where is your joy-your peace?. Yea, I know it is none of my business, but it is yours. All our lives can be better day to day in Christ if we walk in humility before Him.

This is not a reality for some folks because they do not get past their own 'condemning heart', from 1 John 3:20, above.

Why do our hearts condemn us? What does that mean? It means that we have guilt that keeps us from getting in front of God. It means we are ashamed of something or that we may have too much pride to admit we are wrong. It could be a sin from today or one carried for a long time but it is crippling-debilitating-because, if we do not feel free to go before God, we will not pray and if we will not pray, we are unplugged from the power and our joy is gone.

We are now in the acting mode. The false face of pretension is back on.

I am always saying relax. We all know that we cannot relax when our hearts are condemning us-so-relax.

If you are guilty, get released-cleared-set free-i.e., get in front of God no matter how painful and confess-unload it-it is nothing God cannot handle. Get through that barrier that keeps you from admitting sin-just say it-

"Lord, I was wrong and am wrong to keep holding on to it".

Restoration-sweet restoration-completely free-your heart can no longer condemn you.

What are you waiting for?

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

I was wrong and am wrong for holding on to this sin and shame and guilt and am sick of my own heart condemning me. Forgive me and I will be clean and free and restored and refreshed.

Thank You God of all mercy and freedom!!

In the name of Christ Jesus my Lord,

Amen
