Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Psalm 27:13-14 (NIV)

I remain confident of this, I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Verse of the day: Luke 2:1

2 “In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. ...4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child.”

Today’s reading: Micah 1-3 Revelation 11

Real Freedom

Real freedom is relief in life. Jesus is our eternal relief.

Isaiah 40:31 “...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

The greatest threat to our joy is the fear of death and Christ came as a man, but more than just a man-a man to destroy fear of death.

Mark 10:45 (ESV)

45 “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Christ came to give us life everlasting and remove forever our threat of death.

Hebrews 2:14 (ESV)

14 “Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil.”

When Jesus destroyed the power of death by His death and resurrection, He gave us the eternal gift of no fear of death.

Living a life of no fear of death is living in God’s relief.

God sent Christ as a child to live as a man without sin-a man who chose to die for us to defeat death for each believer-to remove our fear of death.

The enemy does all he can to keep that fear in us alive through sin-all he can do is never enough.

Jesus has destroyed all the enemy’s power over us.

Jesus has set us free.

John 8:36-”If the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed.”

Tell God you want to live in His freedom-in His relief.

...because He loves you, He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Hallowed be Your name in my life. Your kingdom come in my heart as it is in Heaven. Give me today what Your want me to have. Forgive me my weak effort. Lead me away from evil.

God of Heaven’s armies,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
