Proact...

In Chapter 7 of the book of Ezra, Artaxerxes, king of Persia, gave Ezra a letter and in it said this:

Ezra 7:23 "Whatever is decreed by the God of heaven, let it be done in full for the house of the God of heaven, lest his wrath be against the realm of the king and his sons."(Even the King of Persia was conscious of our mighty God.)

Ezra and the people prayed for safe passage back home:

Exra 8:23 "So we fasted and implored our God for this, and he listened to our entreaty."

Ezra 8:31 "The hand of our God was on us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy and from ambushes by the way."

A buzz word entered the business world many years ago and speakers wore it out. 'Proactive' was in every department meeting across the nation for a long while.

One group speaks a lot of 'future grace'-and it is more of how we trust God in our future and knowing He will do whatever it takes to complete his work in us.

The people in the Book of Ezra could not see what was coming but they knew they could not make it without God. They were 'conscious' of their God. They trusted in God's future grace and were proactive in their prayers.

How many of us are conscious of the need for God's grace in what we will attempt tomorrow.

James 4:15

Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.”

Exodus 8:10

Then he said, “Tomorrow.” So he said, “May it be according to your word, that you may know that there is no one like the Lord our God.

Planning is always good. No, you do not plan the Holy Spirit out of something-you plan so well that you can stand back and watch the Holy Spirit work in it all. Pray, plan, and put it in God's hands-He will do it. Trust in God's future grace. Be conscious of God.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Hallowed is Your name. Forgive me for worrying about what will happen. In Your hands, my plans will glorify you. Thank you for future grace.

Plentiful supplier of all our needs,

In the name of Christ Jeus,
