Pleasing In His Sight
Saturday, December 15, 2024
Good morning, Lord
Father in Heaven, I seek You first-Your peace-Your knowledge and discernment. Build my trust. I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name...
Verse of the Day: Luke 1:30-31
30 And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus."
Memory verse: Psalm 139:23–24 (ESV)
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! 24 And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!
Today's reading: Amos 4-6 Revelation 7
Pleasing In His Sight
Hebrews 13:20–21:
"Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen."
The Lord Jesus Christ was born to live and die but then be raised from the dead.
He was born to be the perfect sacrifice for us so that His blood would purify our consciences ...so that we can freely worship our living God.
Hebrews 9:14 "Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins."
Christ Jesus was born to give us everything good... to serve...to do God's perfect will...so that His work in us will please Almighty God.
Advent-the Christmas season-is to greatly remind us that we may do God's will and if we are not, we must return to Him and repent. It is time for us to face reality in Christ and walk as Jesus walked-after He was born...
...because He loves us...
Father in Heaven,
All Heaven and earth knows Your name. Your kingdom is forever.
I ask for Your bread to worship and desire you today. Forgive me my self consciousness and lead me away from the world's evil.
Father who supplies all our needs,
In the name of Christ Jesus,
Amen
