Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Psalm 27:13-14 (NIV)

I remain confident of this, I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Verse of the day: John 16:33

33 “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Today’s reading: Zechariah 13-14 Revelation 21

Yes. People Must Know

“People need to know what happens in the book of the Revelation” said the little saint with a worried look on her face. She was speaking of the prophecy of the end times of which there are many views.

Yes, I thought, they must know what God says to us in Revelations.”

It is the end of our reading through the Bible in a year and as much joy as the Christmas season brings us, at the same time we are reading of the end times and what happens to those who are outside of Christ.

How glad are you that you are in Christ? There is a terrifying description for those outside of Christ in Revelation 14:10&11:10 “...he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night...”

Again, how glad are you that you are in Christ? Paul tells us how God loves us and delivers us in Ephesians 2:

3 “... Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Yes, all of us need to review what we have been saved from but we must know also what God saved us to do-the works He has prepared for us and the provision of all we need to live in obedience to His will-in His endless love.

Our work is to deliver the message of deliverance in Christ by God’s power and grace to those are still objects of God’s wrath.

How glad are you that you are in Christ? Glad enough to tell those who are not?

Tell God you want to be obey out of love and joy in Christ.

...because He loves you, He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Make my desire to hallow Your name great. Your kingdom come in my heart and shape my desires. Give me today what You want me to have. Forgive me my fear of peers. Lead me away from evil.

Father of deliverance,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
