Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Psalm 27:13-14 (NIV)

I remain confident of this, I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Verse of the day: John 10:14-15

14 “I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.”

Today’s reading: Daniel 5-7 2 John 1

Peace To Those…

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” (Luke 2:12–14)

Have you ever thought about that statement-”...peace to those with whom He is pleased”?

It says what God meant and still means. Hebrews 11:6 tells us it is impossible to please God without faith. So, we put these two together and we see God’s truth that only those who have faith in God can have peace with God.

The message to us during the Christmas season is the message that we must hear all year: Live and speak the message of salvation in Christ as we grow in our faith in God in Christ.

God brought Jesus into the world to save as many who would believe from being eternally separated from God.

“He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:11–12)

But that is not all. The Angel’s message said ‘peace on earth’. This is a great truth. The mind of natural man cannot have peace without God.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid” (John 14:27).

If we live in His peace the world will see it and want to know. Some will reject it. But for those who accept it, they will, too, know the ‘peace on earth’, divine peace, that Jesus came to bring us.

Jesus said to not be troubled or afraid-He said that to His believing followers. He says that to us.

If you are troubled or afraid, admit it to God and tell Him you really want to live in His peace so those in your world will see the peace that the Angel announced.

...because He loves us, He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Your name is Peace and glory. Let my desire to obey You be as with those in Heaven. Give me vision today for delivering peace to my world. Forgive me for allowing You to build my faith. Lead me away from evil.

God of peace,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
