Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, open my heart and mind, Holy Spirit. Fill my consciousness and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: 1 John 1:8–9

8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the

truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all

unrighteousness.

Verse of the day—Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Today’s reading: Psalm 84-86 Romans 12

 The Great Value

If God asked you, "My child, where are you?"; how would you answer?

I ask this because I believe this is the question God wants us to hear each morning before we engage the world.

God asked Adam and he answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”(Genesis 3:10)

If you are hiding from God this morning, I hope you can go with me into the Psalms and hear what God says to us.

Verse 8 of chapter 85 says: "I am listening. What will God, Adonai, say?"

(10) Grace and truth have met together;

justice and peace have kissed each other.

(11) Truth springs up from the earth,

and justice looks down from heaven.

(12) Adonai will also grant prosperity;

our land will yield its harvest.

(13) Justice(righteousness) will walk before him

and make his footsteps a path.

I believe God wants us to come out of hiding, like Adam(Genesis 3:10), confess(1 John 1:9) and embrace our fear of Him-it is the beginning of wisdom(Proverbs 9:10) and be free to hear how positive God's living word is for all believers.

Life on Earth is crushing if we carry it alone. If we let trials, pain, and suffering paint our view of the world, there is no color but gray.

But when we let God carry our lives in His color, God opens our eyes to see. In God's grace we see the truth of justice and peace in the ‘land of the living’(Psalm 27:13) as His truth waters the growth of righteousness in our souls.

The importance of embracing God's positivity in His living word cannot be overemphasized.

The Holy Spirit’s truth for each of us will be missed if we hide because we are naked in our guilt and close our eyes to it.

Tell God you want to see His color.

...because He loves us, He will do it...

Father in Heaven,

Your name is greatest and Your kingdom flawless. Forgive me for hiding in my guilt and forgive me my sin. Lead me away from the negative world to Your positive kingdom by Your Holy Spirit.

Awesome and powerful God,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
