Good morning, Lord

Therefore thus says the Lord: “If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me. If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless, you shall be as my mouth. They shall turn to you, but you shall not turn to them.”

12 “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

Our Place Of Security

“I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand.” (John 10:28)

There are literally hundreds of verses that are for our assurance. But what we want to see here is where we are with God. So here is a list of verses, God’s reasons, that our place with God is unshakable.

1. John 17:6 “I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word.”(We were in God’s heart before we had any righteousness at all.)

2. God has written our names in Heaven-the names of the ones He intends to bring home. Luke 10:20 “However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

3. Romans 5:1- “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”. We are justified through faith-declared righteous in Christ and have peace that defies definition or explanation.(Philippians 4:7) We cannot be confident of our own righteousness(Luke 18:9) but that which comes from God through faith in Christ. (Philippians 3:9)

4. Jesus gave Himself as a ransom, the ultimate sacrifice, for us against whatever the enemy could throw at us to destroy our souls. (Mark 10:45)

5. We are forgiven. In God’s kingdom, Christ’s blood washes all our sins away(1 John 1:7) and also-purifies our consciences(Hebrews 9:14).

6. We have been sealed-filled with the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 1:13 “And in Him, having heard and believed the word of truth—the gospel of your salvation—you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit”.

...And have stepped from death into life.(John 5:24)

Our place of security in our location -our place in God’s heart and in His grasp-this is where we are because of Christ Jesus. It is perfect and complete. Our journey on the narrow path hears the voice of Christ tell us to live in this reality.

Tell God your doubts or fears-ask Him to wipe them out.

...because He loves you, He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Your name is my security, Your kingdom is home. Give me what You know I need for today. Forgive me for not walking in the Spirit constantly. Lead me away from dead thoughts in sin.

Father of Glory,
