One Day

Good morning, Lord
Father in Heaven, open my heart and mind, Holy Spirit. Fill my consciousness and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…
Memory verse: 1 John 1:8–9
8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the
truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.
Verse of the day: Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.—Ephesians 5:19-20
Today’s reading: Jeremiah 9-11 1 Timothy 6
One Day
We are surrounded by the poor, blind, captive, and oppressed. We are to be the voice of Jesus to deliver the message of His deliverance-His healing-His relief.
What is the greatest relief you have ever felt? In loving our neighbor as the scripture says, the Lord has given us a chance to feel something greater than relief. It is the feeling God gives us when we have delivered the message of Christ's deliverance, in obedience and love, and someone has been set free. We are allowed to see the Holy Spirit speak freedom to the lost. We are given this by God's heart. We see new birth of a soul. God has allowed us to deliver His eternal relief.
Have you been there at that place? Sometimes, there is much time or pain or trouble in getting to this place. Sometimes, we do not get to be there. Sometimes, it is just the knowing we have been obedient to our Father as we have spoken Christ's love and in the Father's patience that brings us His relief. Imagine that-relief in obedience-from hearing our own voice speak the divine truth of the One who loves us most.
One day, there will be something far beyond the simple feeling of relief-when we hear:
"Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ Matthew 25:21
So remember:
Matthew 6:33
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
...because He loves us...
Father in Heaven,
I want to hallow Your name with my whole heart. Forgive me for running after these earthly gods. Forgive me my greed. Let my obedience and your power see victory for the blind around me.
Master healer and merciful God,
In the name of Christ Jesus,
Amen
