On The Inside

A brother stands outside in the cold and wet darkness and watches through the window as his sister, the mother, and her husband and 2 small children share a warm and comfortable meal together with laughter and love. The desire to have that experience makes the brother watching wish to be inside and know that joy.

There are many today who profess to know Christ but stand on the outside because they have not discovered how to walk inside. They give lip service to ideas of discipleship(Romans 12:1&2-life of worship) but allow the enemy to keep them outside the reality of knowing God’s heart.Why? Fear of the unknown?

Maybe, but they have genuinely invited Christ in and genuinely confessed their sins.We cannot live the life Christ died for standing on ‘the outside’. When the Holy Spirit of God shows us God’s Holiness-when we really see it, the longing to be holy comes alive.We must really surrender and walk away from whatever it is that holds us back and ask God to show us all He wants us to ‘see’-and when we do, He will open the door for us to ‘be’.

Leviticus 11:44&45;19:2;20:26; 1 Peter 1:15-all quote God saying for us to be Holy as He is Holy.

Ask Him to show you His Holiness and when He shows you, you will want what He has for you.So ask…

...because He loves us...He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

I want to lift up Your Holiness-the Holiness of Your kingdom. I want to be Holy. Show me what that means in my life for today. Forgive me for the sinful and indecent in my life. Lead me away from things that are not decent.
