Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, load me with desire to seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your insight to righteousness. Hold my attention constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: 1 John 1:8–9

8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the

truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all

unrighteousness.

Verse of the day-ISAIAH 41:10-“So don’t worry, because I am with you. Don’t be afraid, because I am your God. I will make you strong and will help you; I will support you with my right hand that saves you.”

Today’s reading: Job 25-27 Acts 12

Being Fruitful

In Matthew 6:27, Jesus says, “27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”

Worrying is fruitless. Jesus says it right there. Nothing can be gained by worrying. Time is lost and cannot be regained. Worry is a weight carried for no reason so energy is burned and wasted.

Christ Jesus desires for us to experience freedom so that we can bear fruit in His kingdom.

We want those we love to not have to experience pain, right? They can never see that in us if we carry worthless pain from worry. Our neighbor will never want what we have if what we have is a worry-riddled life.

Now how do we learn to not worry?

>Dwell on what we do have in Christ-such as-God’s endless love, endless grace, endless protection, endless presence, endless provision, endless life. Dwell on God.

Psalm 103:2- “Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits”

>Walk in the light,“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12).

>Walk in the spirit- “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” Galatians 15:16

Stay out of the darkness. Worrying is walking in darkness.

Yes, I know some of us worry all the time and that is just why Jesus said what He did. We have allowed the enemy to train our minds to worry-so how do we ‘un-train’ or deprogram our minds to not worry?

First thing is Stay awake. Worry must be replaced. The opposite of worry is calm assurance.

In Jesus is calm assurance. He is our peace.

Flip the switch-from worry to Jesus. Work on it constantly. Have a problem? Plan to conquer the problem and work the plan in prayerful consciousness of the Holy Spirit. It takes work for a worrier to get where you need to be. But Jesus has all you need-all we all need.

...because He loves us...He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Your name is above all-all of the trouble in my life. Your kingdom is peace. Keep my mind clear to trust You today. Forgive me for worrying and lead me away from it.

God of all peace and relief,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
