Of The Truth

Seven Times A Day

Psalm 119: 164 “Seven times a day I praise You for Your righteous judgments. 165 Abundant peace belongs to those who love Your law; nothing can make them stumble.…”

Hebrews 8:10 “I will put my laws into their minds,    and write them on their hearts,”

“For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world — to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice” (John 18:37).

Christ coming to us is the revelation of eternal truth. This truth is written on and in the hearts and minds of all true believers. Truth is the reason for this ‘advent’ celebration-the truth of God and all His provision of grace through faith(Ephesians 2:8&9).

The way we love His law(Psalm 119:164) is loving truth in Christ-loving Christ.

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life(John 14:6).

In Psalm 119, the Psalmist said, “Seven times a day I praise You…”

Loving Christ means that He is on our minds all the time and that we live in gratitude-thanksgiving. We live our days of victory and pain in this world with Christ and His everlasting truth alive in us.

A lot of us will be truthful and say that this is not quite the way we live day in, day out but there is a longing…

Tell God you want to be where He wants you to be-in love with Him and His divine truth.

...because He loves you, He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

I want to hallow Your name seven times a day. Fill me with that love and desire. Let the reality of Your kingdom come in my heart as it is in Heaven. Give me the bread You want me to use today. Forgive me my hiding from Your truth. Lead me away from evil.
