Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Ephesians 2:6 “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.”

Verse of the day: Hebrews 6:10

10 For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.

Today’s reading: 1 Chronicles 4-6 John 6:1-21

Observing

Jesus said, “….Teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you”.

Observe-to notice or see; to obey and take part in

Jesus said for us to teach folks to observe-He didn’t say just to teach them all things I have commanded-He said to teach them to observe. Big difference.

Teaching folks to obey and take part in what Jesus taught takes people who have learned what Jesus taught and have given their lives to living it.

This is the command of Jesus to each of us. Teaching the Bible is great. I love a good, solid Bible study. But unless I learn to use what I have learned in Bible study in living and work to pass this lifestyle on to others, I am not following what Jesus commanded.

So, I have work to do. I have ‘discipling’ to do. I have much to learn and much to ‘observe’.

Tell God what you know you need to learn.

...because He loves us...He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Help me to show others how to hallow Your name and discover Your kingdom for themselves. Give me someone to work with today. Forgive me for shunning my responsibility to You. Lead me away from false security of my own.
