Good morning, Lord
Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…
Memory verse: Joshua 1:9
9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Verses of the day-Romans 5:6-8
6 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Today’s reading: 1 Samuel 15, 16, Luke 10:25-42
Nail It Down
“The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8)
The world gets darker everyday in the way of evil and wickedness. Yes there is a lot of good and the work of the Lord is growing but as it gets closer to the return of the Lord, the enemy gets more desperate.
We need to nail down our belief and understanding to ourselves and to the devil. The devil needs to see the resolve in our hearts and he must know that we know and live by the truth that he is defeated.
“[Christ] himself likewise partook of the same things [flesh and blood], that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil.” (Hebrews 2:14)
“[God] disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.” (Colossians 2:15)
The Bible explains what this means to us.
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)
“Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies!” (Romans 8:33)
“[Neither] angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38–39)
“He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4)
“They [the saints] have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” (Revelation 12:11)
Tell the Lord, the Holy Spirit, that you want this truth burned deep into your heart and mind.
Nail it down.
...because He loves you , He will do it…
Father in heaven,
Your name is assurance and fire. Your kingdom is victory. My heart and mind needs more desire to obey and love You.
Give me what I need today to serve You better. Forgive me my sin. Lead me away from evil doubts.
Lord of Heaven’s armies,
In the name of Christ Jesus,
Amen
