Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Jeremiah 15:19 ESV

Therefore thus says the Lord: “If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me. If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless, you shall be as my mouth. They shall turn to you, but you shall not turn to them.”

Verse of the day: 1 John 2:1

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

Move Forward

In today’s world, divorce and remarriage is everywhere. But-since Jesus taught against it, we must explore it for ourselves in the power of the Spirit of Truth.

Jesus taught,

Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.” Luke 16:18

I want us to look simply into this without some feeling like I am condemning them or, much worse yet, feels God condemning them.

Matthew 12:32- “...whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.”

This is the ‘unforgivable sin’-speaking against the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit speaks to a person through the ‘Living Word’ and shows them their sin, and they do not confess-it is the same as saying the Holy Spirit does not speak the truth.

Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin” (Mark 3:28–29).

All sins will be forgiven-

Neither divorce nor remarriage is in itself the unforgivable sin any more than is murder, stealing, lying, coveting, adultery, or homosexual sin.

If someone has lied, killed, stolen, or divorced and remarried, the issue is not, can they be forgiven? The issue is, do they admit that what they did was sin?

A sin must be confessed-forgiveness experienced. The problem is that a lot of people don’t see it as sin. They will argue. Don’ t argue with me-see if you can argue with Jesus.

When a sin is confessed, the forgiven move on with their lives in full fellowship with the family of Christ. Marriages are great blessings and will grow into greater blessings.

I know this is a hard thing to explain and talk about. I am certainly not beyond error. But, when I sin, I am miserable until I confess but then God blesses and moves me on. I don’t quit my life, I just keep going.

So take this before the Lord-ask Him and He will guide you.

...because He loves you, He will do it...

Father in Heaven,

I want to hallow your name and kingdom and do Your will. Show me my sin and I confess it. Deliver me from evil.

God of deliverance and forgiveness,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
