Love Is God

What do I mean by that? It is impossible to pray for an enemy without God being the center of the prayer. How can we pray for our enemy without praying for their salvation-for them to actually see Him in their lives-for their joy to be full in Christ?

To pray for our enemy is to pray that he or she comes to really have the greatest reverence for God that they can and that they realize God’s kingdom, with all its benefits and responsibilities, is real in their hearts-as we pray for ourselves.

To pray for our enemy is to pray that they have a desire from God to do what God wants them to do today with the purest motives and greatest joy-as we should pray for ourselves.

We must pray for the best of all things in all areas of their lives as we do for ourselves.

We must pray for them to forgive and seek forgiveness.

We must pray they have a desire to have victory over their weaknesses and to be led away from the evil of the enemy as we do for ourselves.

The Lord Jesus left us a divine pattern of prayer. But until we learn to pray for ourselves in His divine pattern in His divine love, we cannot love our enemies as we should so we can pray in love for them as we should.

Tell God where you are and you want desire for more.

...because He loves us, He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

All of Heaven and earth is Yours by Your name. I want to know more of Your kingdom. I want to do things the way You want.

Give me greater desire today to follow You. Forgive me for not forgiving and loving my enemy the way You say I should. Lead me away from destruction.
