Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Psalm 27:13-14 (NIV)

I remain confident of this, I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Verse of the day: John 14:1-3 Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.”

Lord Of Hosts

The term ‘Lord of Hosts’ is used 283 times in the Bible. Some translations translate it, from the Hebrew, Lord of heaven’s armies, or Lord of Angel armies.

Zechariah 8:6, International Children’s Bible says:

6 This is what the Lord of heaven’s armies says: “Those who are left alive then may think it is too difficult to happen. But it is not too difficult for me,” says the Lord of heaven’s armies.

This is a point of encouragement to any and all who seek God in Christ. Nothing is too difficult for God. When all of our strength is gone and we feel like we cannot go on, we must hear 1 Peter 5:6&7:

6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time He may exalt you, 7 casting all your anxieties on him, because He cares for you.

2 Kings 6:15-17 tells how Elisha’s servant saw a great enemy army surrounding them and said, “Oh no, my Lord, what shall we do?”16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.(Read how God delivered Israel in 2 Kings 6)

Our point of strength, the weapon we must continually maintain is the fact that nothing is impossible for God and that He is fully invested in each of us personally.

We maintain this weapon by revisiting it daily. Pray what Elisha prayed but pray it for yourself:

Open my eyes Lord that I may see” and then look and see yourself surrounded by Heaven’s armies.

...because He loves you, He will do it...

Father in Heaven,

Lord of Hosts-Lord of Heaven’s armies, Your are all powerful. Your kingdom come in my heart-open my eyes that I may see. Give me today what You know I need. Forgive me for not turning to You in trouble. Lead me away from evil.

God of all power,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
