Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day:   The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.—2 Corinthians 13:14

Memory verse: Romans 8:32 ►He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Today's reading: LEVITICUS 17-18 MATTHEW 27:27-50

Listening

As a grandparent, there is such great delight in spending time with my grandchildren. Think about someone with whom you really want to be around and don't get to spend much time with. Then, you are afforded a little time with them and it is so good it is gone in a flash and then you are in that place of wanting to be there again.

I want us to think about how God must feel...desiring for us to come to Him. If we, with our finite understanding of love, miss so much our loved ones, how much more must God miss our present attention.

After all, He gave the life of His only son so we could be reunited in the salvation that He has provided-the most costly provision-the most painful price for us to be given the choice to either meet with Him or ignore Him.

How joyful God must be when He hears us stop and be still and say, Our Father who art in Heaven...our attention is all on Him who loves us more than we will ever understand this side of Heaven.

I have been on school outings with my children and grandson and I have to admit feeling a little 'lonesome' when I am with them and because of the activities and other children they forget I am there.

How must God feel? The Holy Spirit is with us always. He never leaves us for any reason-even when we forget He is here. He sees our every move and feels our every emotion. He knows when our attention is on everything else but Him-and what percentage of our time do we really pay attention to Him?

I simply want us to think about God and His feelings. We are created in His image-where do you think you got your feelings? Whatever the emotion, God feels what we feel and He knows how to perfectly deal with every single detail-if we just return our focus to Him-return to Him.

How sad it is that many of us do not return to God until we are in pain or trouble.

We welcome the little ones no matter what their condition-joyful or sad-jumping up and down or sleepy-

God welcomes us no matter what...consider God's heart and how He must feel for you...

...because He loves us so very perfectly...

Father in Heaven,

Forgive me for ignoring Your heart for me. What a perfect blessing You are. You are really my everything.

Perfect Father,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
