Light In The Dark

Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day:   Romans 5:10

 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Memory verse: Romans 8:32 ►He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Live in Victory

The Lord gave me a word in the darkness of the eclipse as I stood with my wife and grandson on our patio. The moon illustrated how the devil works. He is the ruler of the power of the air, Ephesians 2, and works to block God's light and keep the world in darkness as it celebrates its glory.(There were millions who celebrated this full eclipse.)  

During the brief darkness it occurred to me; The moon is cold, dark and lifeless and even in our darkness, the rest of the 'daylight world' had light. The moon was only a block for a while. The devil has been given a short time of freedom but knows that one day he is doomed to be locked away forever but races over the face of the earth to deceive. The truth cannot be hidden.

No matter the totality of the darkness, the sun on the other side of the moon never changes. It still burns on in spite of all the attempts of the moon to bring darkness.

Our enemy is relentless but:

“They [the saints] have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” (Revelation 12:11)

“He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4)

John 1:5 ►The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

John 8:12   Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

No matter how long you have been in the darkness, the Light of Heaven will lift you up-He forgives completely.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Forgive me hanging on to old darkness. I cast it on You. I am blessed in Your freedom.

Forgiving God of all light,
