Good morning, Lord
Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…
Memory verse: Psalm 27:13-14 (NIV)
“I remain confident of this, I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
Versesof the day-2 Timothy 1:7
7 “...for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
Today’s reading: Numbers 17-19 Mark 6:30-56
On Worship #2
Make it all about God.
Isaiah 43:6–7 says:
Romans 15:8–9 says:
Our first step to real worship is to be empty of self desires. This is a fight for most of us because we all have something that really concerns us. So, for us to begin worship, confess your concerns and tell Him you want to glorify Him.
In prayer time with others, we will voice needs and heartaches as it tells us in Philippians 4:6 and this glorifies Him as we acknowledge His power which is worship.
But there must be a place in worship where God is the center. That is the way He wants it. And God knows how hard that is for some of us and wants us to learn how to empty ourselves and God also knows how long it will take for each one of us to learn-and is patient.
The key to our real worship is persistence in love and consciousness of the Holy Spirit. If our intention-our need- is to worship in Spirit and truth, God will honor that intent and need.
...because He loves us…
Father in Heaven,
Hallowed be Your Holy name. Your kingdom come and Your will be done. Give me bread for today-Yours is all I need. Forgive me for not centering on You completely. Lead me away from feeling weird about sharing Your Gospel.
Mighty and patient God almighty,
In the name of Jesus Christ,
Amen
