It Is All Ours

Good morning, Lord
Verse of the Day: Psalm 16:8
I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.
Memory verse: Philippians 4:8 ►Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Today's reading: PSALM 105-106 1 CORINTHIANS 3
It Is All Ours
It all boils down to one thing. If you put all the wealth of the world in one place, what do you have? If you conquer it all-the entire world-what does it mean? With all the wisdom that can be gained from this earthly existence, what does one know?
It all will go away one day.
Now this sounds dark and hopeless on the front side-but-listen to what Paul says,
"So then let no one boast about men. For all things belong to you,(us) whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things to come; all things belong to you, and you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God.. 1 Corintians 3:21-23
All things that really matter-all of it. So, what is 'it'? The person of God means everything. His love and mercy for us means everything. The power of God that made all this is ours. The God of peace-our God-has given us love, joy, and peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
What is it that you want right now? What if anything is missing. If it has to do with life in this world, 'stuff'-possessions, power, status, money-your focus is on the wrong thing.
If we are looking to the Lord God for the next bit of wisdom, the next breath of peace-if we are resting in His peace-if we are waiting to hear from God or are moving because He said to move-we are in the right place.
Most of us are in between somewhere with a lot of room to grow and if we know it and are seeking God, we are in the right place. It all boils down to one thing-seeking God.
Matthew 6:33 ►But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Of all the things we complicate this with, God's will is specific in the scripture:
1 Thessalonians 5:16 Rejoice at all times.17 Pray without ceasing. 18Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Today, rejoice; it's all ours in Christ Jesus.
...because He loves us...
Father in Heaven,
I praise You for all I have in You. Forgive me for desiring things of this world that will go away. Give me greater hunger for You.
Mighty God of peace and joy and love,
