In Believing

Luke 2:14 has been etched in our minds for a lifetime as saying, "Good will toward men."

It translates from the Greek, "...let there be peace to the people who please him.” One translation says, "...on whom His favor rests(Barean Standard); another says, "...peace among those with whom he is pleased!". They all say the same thing except what we have heard all our years.

This says it pretty well: Romans 15:13 (ESV)

13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

All joy...All peace...in believing! Jesus was speaking to His disciples and all His followers when He said, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." John 14:27 (ESV)

The truth lies in our Master. He has gifted us with His mission in spreading the gospel of His name. He has gifted us with giving of what we have been given.

Peace on earth to all who please Him.

Give of what you have been given in Jesus name and you will give peace-God's peace.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Your name is complete peace. I want to learn more of Your kingdom peace. Forgive me my fear and laziness. Lead me away from selfish worldliness.

King of kings and giving Lord,
