If You Ask Humbly

John 5:19 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise. John 14:26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.”Matthew 10:20 “For it is not you who speak, but it is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.”

Have you ever said, “I just don’t know what to do?” I have and I hear folks say it quite often. I wonder, why all the uncertainty-especially in the Body of Christ? Jesus prayed, “23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. (John 17)

We should be saying, “I can only do what I see the Father doing”.

You may very well ask, “What does this have to do with me way out here where I am?”

This is my point-for myself as well as all of us. God had all these words recorded so we could hear Jesus say to us-”...you can only do what you see the Father doing.”

We must seek God to hear Him speak to us and see Him move around us-this is God showing us what to do. If we are so involved in the world that we cannot see God moving or to hear His still small voice in our hearts, we are in the wrong place.

Please don’t ask me, “How do I get to the right place?” I am a teacher and Pastor and I can give directions on how to get there but the directions are recorded for us in the Bible. Pray, fast, meditate on Him, seek Him, hide the word in your heart-love Him-see how great He is and let your heart speak and sing His praises-be the living sacrifice(Romans 12:1&2).

The Holy Spirit will speak and move and give you vision-if you ask humbly, listen and obey-Him.

Father in Heaven,

Your great name is above all else. Your kingdom come and Your will be done in my obedience. Let me hear You now and today. Forgive me for not listening. Lead me away from wanting to listen to the world.

Wise Father who wants us to see and hear You,
