Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Jeremiah 15:19 ESV

Therefore thus says the Lord: “If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me. If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless, you shall be as my mouth. They shall turn to you, but you shall not turn to them.”

Verse of the day: Ephesians 2:19

19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,

What To Pray For Our Enemies

Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matt. 5:44)

Jesus does not want us to pray from a heart that is angry or that feels ill feelings toward someone. So, first, how do we pray for people we simply don’t like. Well, if our feelings are wrong toward someone-and they are wrong if they are not in love-we must pray that God changes our hearts for them. This can be the most difficult thing. Why? Most of the time it is because we have not forgiven them.

(Forgive me as I forgive those who sin against me...Matthew 6:14, 15) Yes, again, we are already forgiven-Jesus died for that. But everyday forgiveness is something we must all pray for or we throw up a barrier of sin between us and God.

Matthew 5:23&24- “23 So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.

Loose ends in our life of faith means sin not dealt with. Loose ends make us miserable. Get it done. At least from your end, make things right.

Then pray that God changes your heart for whomever it is. Many will tell you that life is way too short to carry a grudge or harbor hate for someone. It makes you sick.

Proverbs 3:7 “Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and turn away from evil. 8 This will bring healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.

Hate is evil. Tell God you want to get rid of hate and judgment in your life.

...because He loves you, He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come and give me the desire to do Your will. Grant what I need today for Your work. Forgive me for my hate. Lead me away from evil.

Father of forgiveness and reconciliation,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
