How Thankful?

Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Psalm 27:13-14 (NIV)

“I remain confident of this, I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Verses of the day-Matthew 22:37-39

37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Today’s reading: Numbers 9-11 Mark 5:1-20

How Thankful?

How thankful are you that you are a believer and follower of Christ Jesus?

You have been granted repentance:

“Then to the Gentiles also God has granted repentance that leads to life” (Acts 11:18).

You have been appointed to eternal life.

Acts 13:48 (ESV)

48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.

The Lord opened your heart as He did for Lydia in Acts 2:14:

“The Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul.”

Are you thankful enough to share your faith-to tell someone how to receive Christ?

If we take these three verses and construct a prayer from them, we could pray like this:

Lord. In the name of Christ Jesus, give me the desire to find someone You lead me to to share Christ with. Someone You have appointed to eternal life and granted repentance. Open my mouth with Your truth. Open their heart to Your truth. Amen

Then, God will do what He does. It is our responsibility to surrender-God will do everything else. God has no quota for you to reach-just the point of surrender and obedience with a heart full of the reality of His joy and peace.

Tell God this is what you want.

...because He loves you, He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Your name is eternal life. Make Your kingdom obedience my deep desire. Give me what I will need for today in this world.

Forgive me for not seeking You and praying for the lost around me. Lead me away from evil.

Loving God,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
