Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Psalm 27:13-14 (NIV)

I remain confident of this, I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Verse of the day: 2 Samuel 7:22

22 “For this reason You are great, Lord God; for there is no one like You, and there is no God except You, according to all that we have heard with our ears.”

How Important Is God’s Glory?

1 John 4:8 says God is love.

How important is God’s passion to give us His glory? He paid for it with His own Son’s life. There is no greater price. There is no greater love than God’s glorifying himself in the death and resurrection of Jesus.

When Jesus’ great work of redemption is accomplished in His death and resurrection, He continues in building His church, His body, by sending the Holy Spirit whose job is to glorify God in Christ by drawing people to salvation in Christ. Christ Jesus promised us, “When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth. . . . He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you” (John 16:13–14).

The central work of The Holy Spirit is to continue glorifying God in Christ opening our eyes to see the beauty of what Christ has done in His life, death, and resurrection and what He is doing now in our lives continually. When this happens, it shines through to the world. So letting our light shine before men means we must involve ourselves-fully-into how deep is the glory of God in His love for us.

This is not ‘way out there’. It is right here. It is real. Please don’t walk away from this reality. Tell God you want to know…

...because He loves you, He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Your glory is so high that it seems untouchable but I know You want me to experience it. Let me see Your glory in Your kingdom in my heart so that my heart hurts to do Your will. Give me Your strength I need for today. Forgive me for being negative. Lead me away from evil.

Glorious and loving God,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
