Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your limitless love in Christ and endless power. Build my trust and my passion. I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Ephesians 2:6 “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.”

Verse of the day: Romans 5:10

10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.

Hold Water

My people have changed their glory for that which does not profit. Be appalled, O heavens, at this; be shocked, be utterly desolate, declares the LORD, for my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water.” (Jeremiah 2:11–13)

Wanting to ‘feel’ good in God in Christ Jesus is not selfish.

Psalm 37:4-”Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. 4 Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will do it.

Trust-dwell-cultivate-delight-commit-God will do it.

God commands us to do these things in our lives. We must pray for God to build our trust-we must concentrate our lives on dwelling on Him consciously. The work of cultivating a lifestyle built on scripture(a life of worship) is not an option as delighting ourselves in Him is not an option-it is a must. So we commit our lives to God and expect Him to make all this happen to His glory-because that is what brings His laughter(Psalm 2:4). He will do it.

Pray for and expect delight in God(Psalm 37:4). Pray for satisfaction in Him and expect it(Psalm 90:14). We must seek to quench our thirst with His glory(Psalm 42:1).

A life of real worship can be nothing short of our delight in Him. Find in Him your real satisfaction and delight.

Down times will come, absolutely-trials will come, yes-but remember that Jesus knew how His life would end-he always knew-but His joy was full and He prayed that His joy would be in us and that our joy would be full.

Ask God how this is to be real in Your life…

...because He loves us...He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Let Your divine name satisfy me today. I pray my consciousness of You holds my joy in You steady no matter what the enemy does. Forgive me my weak focus and sinful longings. Deliver me from thinking that is sad and dark.

God of all satisfaction,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
