“Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.

14 Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.  

Today's reading: 2 KINGS 15-16 JOHN 3:1-18

Hold Fast

Revelation 11,--specifically verse 17--refers to 'those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.'

This is all a prophetic picture but I want to pull this out and think about it.

The scripture refers to the faithful in many terms and every time I read one I want to make sure that I am in the group to which the term refers.

But if you are tired, and many are, please remember that the spiritual is different from the physical and even the mental.

Our bodies say, "I can't take anymore", and our minds say, "Stop this crazy thing and let me off for a while"

Staying focused on God and His kingdom is the task at hand-everyday.

Focus on what matters.

The people around you--family and friends--and the people on the fringe of your circles--do they know how much love comes from the heart of God  by what is evidenced in your life?

God's Spirit never runs low on energy.

Pray up--get out from under that load of self--Jesus said in Matthew 11:30, "For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Galatians 5:22-For the fruits of the Spirit are love, Joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control--against such things there is no law.

Love--joy--peace...

1 Peter 5:6&7-Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

When you feel no one knows how you feel, God does--because He cares...

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

 Forgive me for being worried about what people think of me all the time. I ask that they see Your love in me. Give me the desire for that to be foremost in my mind.
