His Words

Good morning, Lord
Verse of the Day: Luke 19:10
for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
Memory of the Month: John 10:27-28
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Today's reading: 1 KINGS 1-2 LUKE 19:28-48
His Words
Luke 19: 47 Every day he was teaching at the temple. But the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him. 48 Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words.
The people in Jerusalem listened to Jesus. They hung on every word. They were so enthralled by His words that the Jewish leaders were afraid to arrest Jesus.
The leaders were afraid of the people who would become the mob that would scream, "Crucify Him!".
It seems these leaders were afraid of a lot. They were afraid of the Romans. They were afraid of the people. They were afraid of Jesus.
Fear.
Perfect love casts out fear. Yes, but there is more.
1 John 4:18
18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.
Hate is fear.
Love is confidence and faith and hope.
To you-is it real-is this divine love a reality in your conscious mind?
God loves you, period. Love Him with all that is you. Pray for perfection in His Love.
Abandon your reservations-walk away from it all-pray that you will learn the deepest love for God- for the Lord your God. Ask God to give you great trust.
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.
Questions of hardship and pain-why do bad things happen? As we mature as Christians, we learn little by little how God uses all the really hard things in our lives to show us what is really important. His life in us-being conformed into the image of Jesus. Jesus did all He did knowing with absolute certainty what would be His absolute outcome. He would horribly suffer. He would see people suffer. He would heal and bring peace. He would defeat death and rise from death. He would leave lasting and eternal hope-and He continues in us.
Grow-stretch-learn-reach-keep reaching-God never fails to make good in our lives if we cling to His righteousness.
Remember John the Baptist? He never knew, in this life...he knows now.
We know if we are listening. God finishes His work.
...because He loves us....
Father in Heaven,
I confess, I do not love You the way the scripture says I should. Help me to learn and love more and more until my whole being loves You totally.
God of love and mercy!
In the name of Jesus,
Amen
