He Will Do It

Monday, April 15, 2024

Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day:    “Pray then like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.’” (Matthew 6:9)

Memory verse: Romans 8:32 ►He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Today's reading: 1 SAMUEL 30-31 LUKE 13:23-35

He Will Do It

" The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.

1 Thessalonians 5:24

I wonder; how often do we stand on scriptures like this? I mean, how often do we linger on truths like this one and let it seep deep into our souls. It is the truth. God will do all He has promised to do and so much more.

The will of God for you and me is written down for us and we seem to skim right over it. It is in the fifth chapter of 1 Thessalonians 5:

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Be joyful always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks is only a part of this writing. Read it all. Take it in. Spend however long God has for you there and then move on always with anticipation. God has something real and spiritually concrete for you today-now.

God will do it-He is doing it right now. Seek with all you are consistently. Yes, we live in this world of chaos and that is why seeking God constantly and being conscious of the Holy Spirit's counsel and His heart for us is absolutely essential.

Why would we not? Self.

And Jesus said, "If you would be my disciple, take up your cross daily and follow me(Luke 9:23)"

The steps are:

1.Die to self

2.Follow Jesus

3. Know God is doing it all

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Give me a hunger for Your word and let me hear You speak as You build my trust. Forgive my weak faith.

Mighty and forgiving God of all relief,

In the name of Jesus,

Amen
