Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day: Luke 1:49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.

Memory verse: Philippians 4:8 ►Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Great Things


This the season of expectancy for the young at heart and of preparation for the seasoned among us. Some are with excited and nervous anticipation and others scurry to procure the perfect 'gift'.

What am I gonna' get?

What am I gonna' give?


Get this please...God has done the greatest of things for you because He loves you as much as anyone alive or who has ever lived. God has given His Son for you. Some have accepted this greatest gift and some have walked around it and looked. You have picked the gift up and shaken it and you cannot figure out what is in there.

Consider those of us who have accepted the gift. We looked and heard it was ours for the taking. Some of us shook it and listened and wondered but we all eventually opened it. Yes we heard the truth and believed but none of us knew what life would be like after. We took the step of faith into a free eternity-but none of us knew what would happen in the next minute or two.

The life in Christ is stable and free but we all have to believe that God will give us all we need for whatever does happen next.

Mary said this:

"For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name." Luke 1:49

God, He that is mighty has done great things for all of us-holy and perfect things-complete things.

When we accept God's free gift of salvation, we never know what will happen or what comes next-we know that whatever comes, God is in control and nothing can pull us from His Holy and righteous hand.

Those who have it must give it.

Those who do not-step forward in faith and take Jesus at His word-"You will never thirst again".


...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Forgive me for not giving Your gift away. Build my faith so I may give freely.

Holy and righteous God,

In the name of my Lord Jesus,

Amen
