God's View

Tuesday, November 22, 2022 Good Morning, Lord Verse of the Day: Romans 14:12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. Memory verse: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Readings: EZEKIEL 18-19 JAMES 4 God's View Psalm23:3 He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake 1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 'In the big picture'-this is as we back off and see in perspective...maybe we can see it all or maybe we see what we want to see or maybe we see with the same filters we were given in our early conditioning. But can we really see the big picture? We can see past and present but the future-the future must be seen in faith and that is where we must depend on our eternal God-totally. The real picture-the real big, big picture-is God's view. God does not see from beginning to end. He sees eternity. He has planned it all for us here on this earth and knows it all. God knows that what happens to us here is just a flash compared to the rest of eternity. God knows how and when He will restore your/our souls from whatever low spot we may be. It seems so hard for us to see sometimes. That is why the scripture is full of promises-promises that He always keeps. Around these promises are words like, "Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God; cast all your anxieties on Him; be sober-minded; be watchful; resist him(the enemy), firm in your faith"(1 Peter 5:6-9) God's restoration always comes when He has our full attention. 2 Chronicles 7:14 ►if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. That word, humility-again. God wants to see our humble hearts before Him. Our egos are a heavy, forbidding fog. God is always willing to restore us. But, if we walk around in a fog... Under God's hand, He will restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish us. ...because He loves us... Father in Heaven, I choose to take up my cross-to get me out of the way. I so need Your restoring power, oh, great Holy Spirit! God of all power for all eternity! In Christ I pray, Amen
