Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Matthew 28:18-20

18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Getting Our Minds Right to Love

To love our enemies, we must first get our minds right before God and by scripture.

Love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High” (Luke 6:35).

Freedom from anxiety in this world is the point of Matthew 6:31–32, “Do not be anxious for anything…”

As our reward is in Heaven and not on this earth, we must know there are some rewards here. I mean that when we realize the joy of being free from hate and we are even excited about loving without judgment, the joy of the Lord Jesus is growing within us which is such a rich reward.

Now consider this: Luke 6:36, “Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.” We have received this mercy Jesus tells us to share by His mercy in our own salvation. So we have this endless mercy to give to our enemies without expecting anything.

You received without paying; give without pay” (Matt. 10:8)

Your sins are forgiven. . . your faith has saved you; go in peace” (Luke 7:48, 50).

When we were enemies with God and subject to His full wrath(Ephesians 2), we were offered His salvation freely. Jesus paid our price. We have freely received, now, to our enemies, we freely and mercifully give to our as it has been given to us.

We have spent many days on 'loving our enemies'. It can continue to be a stumbling block for many, so, continue to take this to God in prayer for as long as it takes. Ask God to change your heart for your enemies-those you know and those you don’t. Put them on top of your prayer list.

...because He loves you, He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Your name is Heaven’s reward. Your kingdom is my strength. Give me what You know I need to love my enemy and improve as Your child. Forgive me for not listening to You.

Father of all,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
