Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Psalm 27:13-14 (NIV)

I remain confident of this, I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Verse of the day: Psalm 95:1-2

95 “Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! 2 Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!”

Today’s reading: Ezekiel 14-15 James 2

Explain to A Child-Part 2

Yesterday, we attempted to challenge us all to know how to explain what happiness is to a child from the Holy Scripture in James, chapter 1. (If we can explain it to a child, we can explain to anyone-who will listen)

Today, we hear God say through James, “Faith without works is dead”. So today the challenge is, “How do you explain faith to a child”.

We look and listen to Jesus and do what He did. We ask, “What do you think made Jesus do all the wonderful things He did for people?”

Jesus loved-He never met anyone He did not love. He was so full of love that He had to help all the people He could. He couldn’t do anything else.

What is faith? It is knowing and loving Jesus. It is finding out as much as you can about how Jesus lived and moved and touched people.

What is faith? It is knowing and loving Jesus and loving people like Jesus did. Jesus lived His whole life loving His Father in Heaven and doing all He could for all the people He loved. Faith means we do like Jesus did.

James, chapter 2, verse 18, says, “...I will show you my faith by what I do.”

This means I will show you how much I love my Father in Heaven and Jesus and how much I love you by what I do for you and everyone else.”

Faith is love in action or in ‘doing’.

Leviticus 19:18 (International Children’s Bible)

Forget about the wrong things people do to you. You must not try to get even. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. I am the Lord.”

Faith means that people who need love get love from us because God has put His love in us and this love makes us love-and we listen to God and do what He wants us to do.

Now explain your life and love by that explanation. Are we allowing God to love through us by loving and doing for others as needs arise?

Can you pull up your history and prove your faith by love shown in action?

Pray that the Lord fill you with desire to love all people and that your love moves in doing good for them.

...because He loves us, He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Glorious is your name above all names,

Father of Limitless Love,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
