Good morning, Lord
Father in Heaven, I seek You first-Your peace-Your knowledge and discernment. Build my trust. I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name...
Verse of the Day: Luke 1:26-28
26 "In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And he came to her and said, “Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!”
Memory verse: Psalm 139:23–24 (ESV)
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! 24 And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!
Today's reading: Amos 1-3 Revelation 6
Even Now
We are reminded in this season of many things that have happened over the years. The family that shared special times with us and the sacrifices made so they could give us, not just what we needed, but special things we wanted.
We buy with excitement what we think the little ones will celebrate over and look forward to the time we will get to spend with family and good friends.
This is past and future but what about right now? I read the scripture and am reminded of what Paul wrote about our security in Christ in Romans 8:34 ►"Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us."
No one can condemn us-no matter what we were or what we did or for current sin. Why? Right now Jesus, who came as an infant and lived in our world and went through it all and died for us, has us on His lips-right now-speaking our trust in Him and our eternal security by His word.
Even now-you are on His heart and mind. Even now, the Holy Spirit lives in you and offers all you need to do His will.
The birth of Christ even now flows rivers of living water.
...because He loves us...
Father in Heaven,
Your name is never affected by time. Your kingdom has no shadows. I ask for wisdom and patience for today and Your strength. Forgive me for taking Your presence for granted. Lead me away from evil distractions.
Ever present God and Father,
In the name of Christ Jesus
Amen
