Good morning, Lord
Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…
Memory verse: Psalm 27:13-14 (NIV)
“I remain confident of this, I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
Verse of the day: John 6:35
35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”
Today’s reading: Ezekiel 47-48 1 John 3
Do You Need A Savior?
“Unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11)
Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.”
Yes, you need a savior-I need a savior-we all need a savior. If you don’t need a savior, you don’t need what Christmas means-what Christmas is all about.
The people in the world around us must know they need our savior and the only message many will ever see and hear is in the presence of God in our lives.
So, how do we prepare for celebrating the coming of our Lord?
We must prepare our hearts. “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!” (Psalm 139:23–24)
Pray that your soul satisfaction be real in Christ and that this joy is visible to the world. Psalm 90:14:
“Satisfy us(me) in the morning with Your steadfast love that I may rejoice and be glad all my days”.
Truly, the world must see joy and peace in us. We have a glorious savior that has delivered us and this must manifest in us as a joyful life.
We must be ready always to share God’s love and His message.
1 Peter 3:15: “But keep the Lord Christ holy in your hearts. Always be ready to answer everyone who asks you to explain about the hope you have.”
Ask God to lift Your heart in preparation for this season.
...because He loves you, He will do it...
Father in Heaven,
Your name means salvation-let me live this truth in obedience as in Your Heavenly kingdom. Give me today a sense of wonder and peace in You. Forgive me for yearning for things of the world. Lead me away from evil.
Our absolute Lord,
In the name of Christ Jesus,
Amen
