Dispelling fear

Good Morning, Lord
Verse of the Day: 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Do you not know that
the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
Memory verse: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).
Today's reading: LAMENTATIONS 1-2
Dispelling Fear
Are you afraid? What is it-the thing you fear. Define it. Write it down. Make a list. Be thorough. Look at it. Study it. Then burn it. This will do no good unless you make it real. Take this list before the Lord and confess it all in Jesus name-give it all to Him. Our Lord is bigger than it all and everything else the devil will throw at you.
The maintenance of this action is going to be difficult. Think about all the times you have heard scriptures like:
John 14:1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled."
Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. Matthew
Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. Matthew 10:31
And then we read:
And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. Luke 12:4
Well, you think, that is reassuring. Some scripture gives us pause, I get it-but the Lord also gets it. He went through it all. He went through the hardest-not just the torture-Jesus went through the horror of taking all our sins onto Himself. This is a horror that no man will ever feel, AND, Jesus did this for our salvation-He did it for His complete love for us.
Now, here is a statement to ponder:
If we meet the Lord everyday and cultivate the relationship He wants to have with us and us with Him, fear comes only periodically and that is quickly dealt with through the Power of the Holy Spirit-because we are 'God-conscious'.
If we do not meet Jesus daily, fear is constant.
Shortened this says: If we meet with Jesus daily, fear is conquered-if we don't, fear is constant.
With Jesus, we do not fear-without Jesus, we are afraid.
Fear is debilitating. The whole world without Jesus lives in fear and what that brings everyday.
What choice will you make today? With Jesus or without. He came to set the captives free. So live as free in Jesus.
...because He loves us...
Father in Heaven,
Forgive me for my fear. Holy Spirit, give me that desire that won't let me start the day without bringing all my fears to You.
Precious Father of all courage,
In the name of Christ Jesus,
Amen
